DIY Ideas for Concrete Wood Plank Stamp

Summer is almost here and so are the incredible senses that come along with the season. When asked, most people will share summer memories in the most descriptive ways. Why is that? Surveys have found that scents, sounds, and textures evoke warm feelings associated with this time of year. One of those most favored elements is wood. However, water and timber aren't the best combinations of materials, and since aqua is a big part of summer a different option for decking is advisable.

Wood Plank Pattern Stamp

Here's a hot and trending idea...wood plank pattern stamp! This is one of the coolest new ways to get that rustic look and avoid water saturations of boards. Have you been considering a pool? Hot tub? Lots of lush, beautiful new landscaping that requires long watering sessions to quench its thirst? If any of these ideas are on the to-do list or are already in place, concrete stamping vs. wood is the way to go for framing it all!

DYI Tips

To get this awesome woodsy-look, a wood-plank stamp along with a tan dry-shake color hardener, accented with a dark brown release agent will work. If you are looking do a simple accent piece like a koi pond bridge, this too can be accomplished with concrete. You can pour the bridge in place with boardwalk stamps set in the form, and color it with acid stains and topical highlighting oxides. It is then sealed for protection and slip resistance.

We understand that not everyone is a DYI (Do It Yourself) person, so we'd be happy to help you achieve this relaxed style for your upcoming outdoor days. Kindly, contact us. We'd enjoy partnering with you to design your new concrete landscape.
